There are a lot of things in this life that you just cannot believe but then that’s "It’s a crazy world".
But there are other things that you really cannot believe, like a UK commons committee inviting disgraced Sharon Shoesmith to give advice on child safety. What a joke!
This woman who was sacked by North London’s Haringey Council after failing to take baby P. in to care .
And that was despite evidence of serious abuse. This pathetic seventeen month old child suffered such terrible injuries at the hands of his despicable mother and her lover and the lodger. Between them this poor child was beaten and tortured to death.
Now they have invited this woman and four other experts to give evidence to the committee on child safety.
I would like to know who the rest of the committee is made up of. It does not bear thinking about.
PLEASE David Cameron you said you were going to get rid of all this stupidity. Before it’s too late, insist they change their minds.
Surely there must be more qualified people selected from the NSPPC and the like, for instance.
What are your views on this?

Policeman gets what he deserves
At last we see the police not covering up for one of their own.
A policeman loses his rag and drags a woman to the cells and then hurls her head first to a concrete floor.
Thank goodness for the courage of police woman Rachel Webb, she is the true hero here.
Seeing one of her colleagues Policeman Mark Andrews do this she did the right thing and reported him. Andrew was jailed for six months, I think he should thank his lucky stars he got off so light.
Lets hope that the other police at that station recognise that Rachel Webb did the right thing and do not start a silly campaign against her.
This helps give a little confidence back in our bobbies, after all they also are supposed to work for us the ratepayer.

Who’s having an affair now
Rooney plays away, Tiger Woods has string of affairs, George Michael is gay, SO WHAT! Do we really care.
Every the time you pick up a newspaper you can bet your bottom dollar there will be some star or other that has made the news this way.
Do the newspapers think that we are so sad that that is what really interest us or is it a just way of filling out the paper for lack of real news.
Does a footballer or golfer play any worse because of an affair he is having, Does a singers voice suddenly sound different, of course not.
It’s just that these people are always in the limelight and mostly away from home, and with the temptation.
Of course I feel sorry for the wives, but surly this is between them, let them sort it out without all the added pressure from the media.
I myself buy a newspaper and like to read the news, I thought that was what they were for but I suppose an affair of some celebrity or other sells the paper.
What a sad life some people must lead if this is what they get a kick out of reading.
I think I’ll stick to the Beano comic in future.

Do our councils ever learn?
Once again one of our wonderful councils forget who they work for and want the public to do the job we pay our council tax for.
Wiltshire Council sent a letter last week to tell the residents of an unadopted section of one road that they would have to drag their wheelie bins up to 100 yards along a potholed road in Trowbridge because the refuse lorry drivers say they won’t drive down it to protect their workers.
The residents of this unadopted section of road, of which the majority are frail pensioners in their seventies and eighties were told by Wiltshire Council last week that they would have to heave their bins to the end of the street because of fears for the health and safety of the binmen, what about the health and safety of these pensioners, doesn’t that matter.
The council added that the potholes could cause damage to vehicle tyres. What the hell are these workers paid for.
Many of the residents said that they would struggle to drag their bins along the unlit, pothole-ridden road, especially on darker winter days, as the street has not even got any lighting.
The angry residents rang the council with furious complaints and have been promised a meeting with the council and bin contractor Focsa.
One former refuse collector said: “I did this job about 17 years ago and this road, even with its potholes, is like a motorway for their vans compared to the conditions they face on the landfill sites. They say the tyres could be damaged, that is ridiculous.
He said “I live near the entrance of the street and even I would have a struggle to get my bin up there with my arthritis. If we do manage to get the bins there, what about the hazard of dozens of bins left in the road? This whole health and safety lark has gone mad.”
The council’s technical officer for waste and recycling told residents in a letter: “The refuse crew in your area have advised me of a health and safety issue when trying to load your bins on to the lifters.
The surface condition of the road is preventing the bins being safely manoeuvred for emptying, putting the operatives at risk. Additionally there is a risk that the potholes could cause damage to the vehicle tyres.”
One resident said: “I’m not very keen to walk up to the top with my bin. It would be very difficult for me, especially in the winter months. It is just not on.”
Her neighbour said: “We just want our bins collected from outside our homes again. It has always been done this way. The population here is elderly and not in the best of health.”
Another said “I think it would be just as great a health and safety risk to leave all the bins at the top of the road as it is to collect them from our houses.
A Wiltshire Council spokesman said: “We understand residents’ concerns and are meeting them with a representative from our contractor Focsa to resolve the situation. Focsa is concerned about the safety of their staff and the public, however will continue with the current collection arrangements while the matter is resolved.
It should not take long to resolve it, GET RID of the firm you use and employ some sensible dustmen like we always used to.
It’s about time these councils remembered they are employed by the rate payer, their first interest should be to them.
These binmen are a joke. Where I live if your bin lid is raised because of the amount in there, they won’t take it.
If they find a bin with not a lot in, they take that out and put on the top of another one, even if that overfills it.
Somebody tell me what’s the difference?

Why did the Bosnian police waste their time
Bosnian police on Friday tracked down a Bosnian girl who sparked world wide outrage when she was seen on video throwing half a dozen puppies into a river.
The girl in her teens lives lives in the central town of Bugojno, police spokesman Sefir Barucija was quoted as saying, that officers did not plan to reveal her identity.
Under Bosnian law a person who kills or tortures animals is punishable only with fines ranging from 15 to 5,000 euros (19 to 6,400 dollars).
It turns out that if found guilty and fined it would be the first such case in Bosnia.
It’s reported that the girl's grandmother told her to throw the three-day-old puppies into the river and the girl believed that throwing puppies into river was "the most merciful" way to get rid off them.
The video shows a blonde girl taking the squealing black-and-white puppies out of a white bucket and tossing them into the fast-moving river one by one.
The video has been removed from YouTube but some Facebook pages are still dedicated to exposing the girl.
Once again it shows just how little regard some so called civilised humans have for these helpless creatures.
For the Bosnian police not to identify the person shows just how dedicated they are (and not in the animals favour)
This girl and her grand mother should have the book thrown at them.
What the hell did the police they waste their time for, was it just to make a show,. If the video had not been shown I doubt they would even have bothered anyway, after all the punishment is hardly worth their time.

Do these people live in a different world
Only last Monday NICE our NHS rationing watchdog ruled that bowel cancer patients could not have access to the drug Avastin on the National Health Service because the cost of around £21,000 per patient was deemed too high.
It says it is not worth the cost to prescribe them to critically ill patients.
What I cannot understand is why do these top consultant oncologists insist on calling it a miracle drug that that they say can prolong the life of some patients for years? If they are not letting anyone have them.
Are these heartless dictators at NICE so stupid not to realise that to tell people with this cancer that if they took this drug they could live a lot longer but then to tell them they can’t have it, it’s to expensive..
And then they rub salt into the wound by splashing out on plasma screen televisions in its offices, also they are hiring 160 new staff and spending £500,000 refurbishing its offices, and that’s right after blocking this cancer drug.
What planet do they live on, I’m sure it’s not the same as us.
Tell me what you think !

Wow! The world’s gone mad!
Today I came to the conclusion that the world has really gone mad. Well it seems that the people we employ, the ones that work for the councils have anyway.
Today it comes out that the council employees who work for Notts County Council are refusing to give Lance Corporal Johno Lee a disabled badge.
Now Johno is not a lead swinger, he is not trying to get something he does not deserve. He lost a leg in Helmand and now has a prosthetic one.
But, believe it or not, their excuse is he is too young and may get better.
Do these people know something we don’t, is growing a new leg part of a secret medical plan. If it is I’m sure it will not be for a while.
Another example of town hall stupidity is in Hastings. One person paying their council tax monthly, paid every one of the payments and then was sent a demand saying that they still owed two months.
Now three times they spoke to a different council adviser, went through their payments with them one by one. They came to exactly the right amount. When they asked how the devil they could still owe two months, the answer! Because the computer says so. Wow! Must be right then.
Now after, as I say three times, the problem was sorted, the reason being that this person had one month paid too much, and the last month had adjusted it by just paying the balance. The council employee’s answer to this was, if you over pay or under pay, it is not counted and goes into a separate account which is then deducted next year.
Poppycock! What about all those people who pay in one or two payments, are they told the same story.
Come on David Cameron, give us that people power you promised so we can get rid of these idiot people and give the job to somebody with more common sense.
