Animal Cruelty

Why is it that nearly every day you open a newspaper you read about some mindless cruelty to an animal.
What kind of pleasure does some sick-head get out of it, is it that the animal is usually of the defenceless kind, a cat, a rabbit etc. and they haven’t got the guts to try doing it to another human.
These people are really the threat to society, If they can do this what sort of parents can they be.
Any children they have then grow up with the dregs of society for parents, what chance do they have,.
Half the problem lies with the law, they get caught, come up in front of some magistrate or other that is so out of touch they could have got away with murder.
It’s about time that the law on animal cruelty was overhauled and really harsher sentences handed out, if they had owed their rates in most cases they would have got a harsher sentence.
You hear of them being banned from keeping a animal for a ridiculously short time, they should be banned for life.
When they catch the mindless scum they should let the pets owner have a while with them.
Give me just ten minutes with them, I promise you they would not ever think of doing it again.
